Nutrition can be very complex for the layperson with terms such as BMR, TEF, TEA, TDEE etc. It can be very hard for a person to know where to start. Understanding terms like Carbohydrates, proteins, fats (good and bad) fat-soluble vitamins, water-soluble vitamins, minerals, fiber, probiotics, and then how much to take of each, what is the recommended guideline, then we have so many dietary options and plans – Keto, Paleo, Atkins and the list goes on and on.
Are you exhausted and confused? Please don’t worry that’s why you have come to the professionals, we will break everything down into simple to understand language and design a plan that will be tailored to your needs.
Chinese dietary advice is another area very useful to address illness, disease or ailments that are brought on by what we call TCM patterns of disharmony, these patterns can manifest as Deficiencies such as Yin, Yang, Qi, Blood, Essense deficiency or excesses such as Dampness, Cold , Heat, Wind, Qi stagnation, Blood Stagnation, Shen (spiritual essence) excesses.
All of these conditions can either be helped or made worse by the properties of certain foods, so we can include these in our TCM diagnosis to inform your treatment protocol.
